Merry Christmas Part #2

We went to see Santa a couple of weeks ago.  The boys didn't want to but Lizzy did.  Plus I told the boys if they do not let me get a picture with Santa then Santa will not come. (Threats are great!!!!)  Lizzy asked for a real horse.  Santa said he probably could not fit a horse in his sleigh.  But he would look through all his toys and pick out the best one for her.  Lizzy was so excited and happy Santa would do that just for her.

We went to a pack meeting about a week ago and watched Henry get his arrow of light.  That was really fun to see him receive it.  He is ready to move on to 11 year old scouts.  Just 8 more den meetings but who is counting.

This Friday, we woke up to snow.  We haven't had snow in about 2 years.  This was Maggie's first experience with snow.  She loved it and run in circles the whole time the kids were outside.  The kids made a snowman, snow angels, and throw a ton of snowballs at Maggie.  It snowed enough to have a late start but not cancel school.  By the time they came home from school, the snow was basically gone.

This Saturday we decided to go hiking in the woods.  We went to Barnes Creek Trail.  I had never been on this trail but feel in love with it.  The trail was a gradual uphill/downhill.  Even better all my kids were able to walk to whole time and we were able to stay together.

My favorite part of the trail.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas everyone.  We have had a wonderful month celebrating the season of Christmas.
We have been here and there doing different things this year.  I honestly do not know where all the time as gone.  It seems like yesterday I was blogging but I guess it has been almost 2 months.  Sorry about that.

Maggie has enjoyed Christmas and cannot figure out why we put a tree in our house.  She has been pretty good at not taking presents but I think she has sniff out one present with chocolate.

Lizzy was able to pick and cut down our Christmas tree this year.
I really thought we would have a pink Christmas tree but no, she wanted a regular Christmas tree.
It is a big, beautiful tree and it smells wonderful.

Lizzy has been taking dance for the last couple of months.  She likes dance most weeks but wishes her was in the same class as her best friend.  Overall, she does very well and I think she is a graceful dancer (which really surprise me)!!!!

Lizzy is finally taller then Santa.

Of-course the boys had their winter-fest concert.  I always enjoy going and listening to the choir sing.  Thomas and Henry were both in it and had different parts.  Thomas sang, played the recorder and had some bell work.  Henry also sang, and played the recorder.

My favorite song was fum-fum-fum.
They sounded awesome.

Toothless Girl

Lizzy finished up her soccer season this last week.
Once Lizzy figured out that she was a fast runner she would go get the ball with no problem (expect when she decided to dance).

She was always so fast, could not get a clear picture!!!!

The past week, Lizzy has been working hard on getting out her teeth.
Her first one was lost at soccer.  She bit her tooth while running around and then she pulled it out.
The second tooth, she pulled out at school!!!!!
She is totally adorable!!!!

The Champions

The boy's had their tournament of the champions this weekend.
It was so fun to watch them.
The first game was the most intense.  The ball was kicked backed and forth between goals and teams.
The teams were tied when the game ended.
Went into Sudden-death overtime (which means who ever scores first, wins).
First 10 minutes, no one scored
Second 10 minutes, Thomas scored the winning goal.
Boy, was it beautiful.  The assist was perfect kick to Thomas and Thomas shot it in the goal.
It was awesome!!!!!
Second game, was not as intense because the ball was mostly where they were shooting.
They won 2-0.

Here is the team getting the trophy.
Those boys were so excited and every boy had to hold the trophy and stroke it and love it.

They were so excited!!!!!!!

During the many games the boys played, Lizzy was able to babysit some dogs (PJ and Ginger).
We kept trying to trade our one dog for her two dogs but the owner just would not do it!!!!
(I wonder why?)

School Days

We have all gotten into different routines.
Lizzy has learned school is every day even if you do not want to go to school.
She is not a morning person (I am looking forward to seminary days) but once she is awake she is pleasant.

We have struggled doing piano again.  But we are getting use to it.
Maggie been sad for days when the kids went back to school.  I love it when she takes a 3 hour nap.
I do not like it when she barks at me demanding food she not suppose to have.
Yes, we do not have enough chairs they have to make their own.
Lizzy and Chris went to the Daddy, Daughter Dance.
It was awesome----Western Theme.
Lizzy got dressed up in her best cowgirl outfit and went dancing all night long.
She loved every minute of it.

Last couple of weeks Henry has gone to school early and stayed late to do crossing guard.
Thomas started doing it this week.  One more week to go and then we can all go to school at the same time!!!!
Well, I think I am caught up with what we have been up to the last month.  More things then what I thought we have been doing.

Thomas's Birthday

Thomas turned 12!!!!
This year Thomas decided he wanted a Mindstorm.  He ended up getting the EV3.
He has been programming and building and rebuilding his robot since his birthday.
He was quite funny on his pretend birthday (we celebrated his birthday on Sunday since I wasn't going to be around on his birthday and he wanted a meal Chris makes not me.)  He didn't realize his robot came and I hid it.  He was upset that I did not tell him (but he still got it a couple of days early).

I haven't taken any pictures of him playing with his robot but he has program his robot to sense something behind it, turn the robot around, mash it the object and then the robot laugh evilly.
I wish I could have captured all the emotions Thomas went through blowing out his cake.
Just writing this makes me laugh.  He went from normal, to mad, to laughing where he was crying back to normal!!!!

Lizzy's Birthday

Lizzy is Six!!!!!
Lizzy had her birthday this past Saturday and we party all day long.

Well, I know aren't they cute.  I love the internet.  Who would have thought to do this.  But aren't we glad people do.  They were so easy to make.  And the best part Lizzy loved it!!!!

Home birthday cake.  It is suppose to be a unicorn but I think it looks a little like a gremlin but again Lizzy loved it.
Lizzy got an American Doll for her birthday.  Lizzy and her doll have been inseparable since she has gotten it.  I cannot believe how much she looks like her.  (Found it at a garage sell!!!!!)

For Lizzy's birthday we took 2 of her friends and went on a Farm Tour.  It was awesome because Clallam County does this farm tour once a year and it was on Lizzy's birthday.  Her teacher said she would meet us out at freedom farms and let her ride her horse, Cinnamon.  Lizzy was so excited.  She was able to ride Cinnamon twice.  (She is with Mrs. Waktniz's and Killian---the boy was in her preschool class last year and also Mrs. Waktniz's grandson.  Lizzy is in love with him).
She practice roping a cow.  She said she wished she had brought her own rope.
Kissing a horse.
Decorating a horse's tail.  This is a horse not a pony.  The person there could not tell me what the difference between a pony and a horse except breeding)  The girls loved decorating it.
Lizzy got to ride Cinnamon twice.  The second time was with Elena.
Doesn't she look like a cowgirl.
Lizzy kissing a cow!!!!!
Lizzy kissing a rabbit.
Any animal she got close to, she kissed it.  She hugged this rabbit to death.
We pick flowers at a flower farm and made bouquets and perfume.

Last stop was Nash's farm and we looked for veggies.  We ended up with pumpkins.
Boy, I was tired for days afterwards.  I probably had as much fun as the girls.  I forgot how much I love animals and wide open spaces.  I could live out there, have a couple of animals and grow a couple of veggies (most of the farms were between Sequim and Port Angeles.)  You could see the whole mountain range and it was peaceful (even with a ton of people around)
Yesterday, Lizzy finally changed Cowgirl West (Her doll's name) into her ballet outfit to go to ballet class.  Yes, we take her everywhere and change her according to what we are doing.
