Blue and Gold plus Birthday

This weekend was busy celebrating Henry!!!!
Our family had its last Blue and Gold!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus Henry was able to finally cross the bridge!!!!

Henry in his new uniform.

So each table had a picture of a boy!!!
Thomas called it Henry's memorial (and aren't we glad he is done with cub scouts!!!!).
 The Webelos did two skits.
The Three Little Star War Friends and the Big Bad Darth Vader and they sang Tom the toad with different animals.  Of-course Henry was a fish!!!!  They did a wonderful job!!!!

 Yeah, Henry made it!!!!
Look at all those scouts so excited Henry finally turning 11.

Saturday we decided to celebrate Henry's birthday since we are not going to be home on his birthday.
He got his hiking backpack, a sleeping bag, telescope fishing pole, books and fly typing stuff!!!!!

Cheese Cake for desert!!!!!
He had a great day.

Hangin' with Sven

This passed weekend the family went to visit little Sven
(and also Pete and Jess with an added bonus of Grandma and Grandpa Damstedt--kept that one a secret until we left to go) .
Oh-he is so cute!!!!!!  Wish he lived closer so I could hold him.

Of-course we had to stop off at the Appaloosa Museum.  Lizzy was in heaven,
We were able to look around and see all the things girls need to ride a horse.

Saturday night we went ice skating with Pete and Jess.  I did Aunt duty and hung out with Sven.
The rest of the group went ice skating.  They all did very well for not skating for a couple of years.  They mostly used the helps to go very fast and chase each other.

oh-yes the fun aunt and uncle!!!!!

 Isn't he so cute!!!!
See, I am good babysitter.

The kids had forgotten how fun a new baby is.  When we got the their house on Saturday and had hung out for awhile they wondered what else we were going to do.  I told them, we sit and watch the baby.  That is their entertainment.  It took them awhile but they got into it.  Henry was able to calm Sven down and put him to slept.  Lizzy helped change diapers and Thomas gave him toys.

Sunday was awesome.  Peter did a great job blessing the baby.  Jess looked beautiful in her dress.
Look at that cute family.  Sven has an amazing spirit about him.

Later that day, we decided to let the kids go swimming.  Yes, the old mom and dad--on the side line and the fun aunt and uncle are in the water.  And of course I babysat Sven!!!!

We had a wonderful time hanging with Pete and Jess and little Sven plus grandma and grandpa!!!!!!

Merry Christmas Part #2

We went to see Santa a couple of weeks ago.  The boys didn't want to but Lizzy did.  Plus I told the boys if they do not let me get a picture with Santa then Santa will not come. (Threats are great!!!!)  Lizzy asked for a real horse.  Santa said he probably could not fit a horse in his sleigh.  But he would look through all his toys and pick out the best one for her.  Lizzy was so excited and happy Santa would do that just for her.

We went to a pack meeting about a week ago and watched Henry get his arrow of light.  That was really fun to see him receive it.  He is ready to move on to 11 year old scouts.  Just 8 more den meetings but who is counting.

This Friday, we woke up to snow.  We haven't had snow in about 2 years.  This was Maggie's first experience with snow.  She loved it and run in circles the whole time the kids were outside.  The kids made a snowman, snow angels, and throw a ton of snowballs at Maggie.  It snowed enough to have a late start but not cancel school.  By the time they came home from school, the snow was basically gone.

This Saturday we decided to go hiking in the woods.  We went to Barnes Creek Trail.  I had never been on this trail but feel in love with it.  The trail was a gradual uphill/downhill.  Even better all my kids were able to walk to whole time and we were able to stay together.

My favorite part of the trail.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas everyone.  We have had a wonderful month celebrating the season of Christmas.
We have been here and there doing different things this year.  I honestly do not know where all the time as gone.  It seems like yesterday I was blogging but I guess it has been almost 2 months.  Sorry about that.

Maggie has enjoyed Christmas and cannot figure out why we put a tree in our house.  She has been pretty good at not taking presents but I think she has sniff out one present with chocolate.

Lizzy was able to pick and cut down our Christmas tree this year.
I really thought we would have a pink Christmas tree but no, she wanted a regular Christmas tree.
It is a big, beautiful tree and it smells wonderful.

Lizzy has been taking dance for the last couple of months.  She likes dance most weeks but wishes her was in the same class as her best friend.  Overall, she does very well and I think she is a graceful dancer (which really surprise me)!!!!

Lizzy is finally taller then Santa.

Of-course the boys had their winter-fest concert.  I always enjoy going and listening to the choir sing.  Thomas and Henry were both in it and had different parts.  Thomas sang, played the recorder and had some bell work.  Henry also sang, and played the recorder.

My favorite song was fum-fum-fum.
They sounded awesome.

Toothless Girl

Lizzy finished up her soccer season this last week.
Once Lizzy figured out that she was a fast runner she would go get the ball with no problem (expect when she decided to dance).

She was always so fast, could not get a clear picture!!!!

The past week, Lizzy has been working hard on getting out her teeth.
Her first one was lost at soccer.  She bit her tooth while running around and then she pulled it out.
The second tooth, she pulled out at school!!!!!
She is totally adorable!!!!

The Champions

The boy's had their tournament of the champions this weekend.
It was so fun to watch them.
The first game was the most intense.  The ball was kicked backed and forth between goals and teams.
The teams were tied when the game ended.
Went into Sudden-death overtime (which means who ever scores first, wins).
First 10 minutes, no one scored
Second 10 minutes, Thomas scored the winning goal.
Boy, was it beautiful.  The assist was perfect kick to Thomas and Thomas shot it in the goal.
It was awesome!!!!!
Second game, was not as intense because the ball was mostly where they were shooting.
They won 2-0.

Here is the team getting the trophy.
Those boys were so excited and every boy had to hold the trophy and stroke it and love it.

They were so excited!!!!!!!

During the many games the boys played, Lizzy was able to babysit some dogs (PJ and Ginger).
We kept trying to trade our one dog for her two dogs but the owner just would not do it!!!!
(I wonder why?)
